The Blue Grotto is one of several sea caves worldwide that is flooded with a brilliant blue or emerald light. The quality and nature of the color in each is determined by its unique combination of depth, breadth, water clarity, and light source.
Wine Tasting & Tour at SCALA FENICIA
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (includes transfer time)
€125 per person
*Lunch is NOT included
The foundation of the winery was inspired by the idea of recovery and renewal of the wine-making tradition of the island of Capri. Centuries-old grapevines up to 5 meters from the ground, modern tehcniques of grape processing in an ancient Roman cellar. An estate-bottled wine which is true expression of the terroir.
The Scala Fenicia farm is located in an area of the island that was a vital crossroads and seat of Imperial houses back in the Roman era. The cellar is part of this history. It was originally a Roman cistern that served as rainwater storage for the surrounding villas. Since 1818 the family has been producing wine and oil in it. Since 2010, the year the company was founded, the production has been focused on the vinification of D.O.C. wine.
From pruning to harvest, a difficult and rewarding work in the vineyard. Terraces clinging to the rock and vineyards cultivated on frameworks up to five meters high challenge our skills in daily work. All of that on a small island: extreme conditions that describe an agriculture that many define as heroic.

Tiny Ravello, an idyllic village along the Amalfi Coast, has a long history and vibrant cultural life. Founded by Romans in the sixth century, this picturesque clifftop town is today a haven for travelers drawn to its views, villas, and gardens. Home to Villa Rufolo, which has hosted luminaries from Richard Wagner to Jacqueline Kennedy, and Villa Cimbrone, known for its panoramic views, Ravello is an elegant respite from the crowds along the coast.
Amalfi, a charming and historically rich town on Italy's scenic Amalfi Coast, lies at the mouth of a deep ravine and is surrounded by breathtaking cliffs that plunge into the Mediterranean Ocean. Centuries before the Papal dominance of the Italian peninsula, Amalfi was one of four powerful maritime republics and a trade bridge between Byzantine and western world. Today, Italian natives refer to this hillside city as "the pearl of the Mediterranean," with its ivory-colored buildings, complete with tiled terracotta roofs. This remarkably scenic town boasts narrow alleyways that wind through the city's center and up the slopes, connecting the sea to the mountains. Here, you can experience breathtaking medieval architecture, artisan shops, and a plethora of authentic eating and drinking establishments.
